DRESSING (FASHION, JEWERIES, TROUSERS, ATTACHMENTS ETC) PART 1 This has been issues discussed over and over among Christians. I have also seen such question. Repeated over and over in this group. It has caused alot of division in the body of Christ. Let me adress them generally. Some of the things i am going to be saying may upend or disrupt your former theology on these, we will make scriptures speak as much as possible. Lets understand that your dressing does not add one cubic of holiness to you neither does it make you more anointed or does it make you a Candidate of the kingdom. Dressing is basically a thing of horizontal relationship and is very important you drew well because you are adress the way you dress in many cases. Also dont judge peoples spirituality or morality by the way they dress. Some one can dress very decent but full of evil in the heart. Full of evil thoughts and acts. I have seen many such. Some others dress rough but they have a good heart and you will be so amazed at the character they portray. Others are decent in dressing and a good heart. This is the best actually. When we come to the issue of dressing, there is always three sides. #1. Those who are extreme on looseless, #2. Those who are moderate and considerate #3. Those who are extreme on modesty Those who are too loosed, say you can dress anyhow you want and does matter since your heart is clean and righteous before God, but the issues is what is in your heart comes out and manifests outside. Also know that there are things you should avoid not because it is sin but because you want to win the ignorant. There are things you put on that will hinder your message greatly. Always observe the environment you are, it is wisdom. For those that are moderate and considerate, it is a good one The last group are those who hammer on dressing daily. They talk as if your dressing will make you a citizen of the kingdom. They give you alot of commandments of men on dressing. They twist scriptures to say what it does not say to prove their point. They enforce their personal likes or culture on people and claim it is scriptural. But understand that Bible is a universal book that is applicable to every culture, tradition and race. So the Bible is not a cultural book, but should give us a good cultural standard. I used to be in this group. We used to condemn even wrist watch with chain. We used to condemns the use of Gold in any form. But even then i was asking why did God then created these things. Are they really bad in themselves. We are going to see series of scriptures on this issues to have it settled once and for all for as many as want to learn. Also some one may claim he had revelation from heaven and God sent him to warn people. But know that revelations can be fake or misinterpreted. So we cant use revelations of heaven or hell as standard, but THE BIBLE. I have heard different versions of revelations and so we cant use them as standard. Paul said in Gal 1:8,9 that even if angels come and preach another gospel, let him be accused. This is because he knew people will come up with visions of heaven or so called heaven experience to deceive. That is not to condemn all, but we should test every thing with Gods word.
