DRUMSHANBO NOTES SYMPATHY EXPRESSED The death occurred on Sunday 28th of July of Joey Blessing, Lusk, Co Dublin at Beaumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was son of the late Joe and Bridget Blessing Dristernan and late of Crummy Drumcong. Joey is survived by his wife Louise, daughters Donna and Pamela, sons Joseph, Dermot, Graham, Mark, Gerard, and Paul, daughter in law, grand children and great grandson Dara, brothers Paddy, Drumcong, Kevin, Drumshanbo, Brendan, Bray, Vincent, Cork, Des ,Ennis, Ray, Australia, sisters Mai Conefrey Fenagh and Lily Nicolandos, Australia to whom we extend our deepest sympathy. The funeral Mass took place on Thursday at St MacCullins Church Lusk and Joey was laid to rest in Whitestown Cemetery Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. We also extend our sympathy to Mr. Jim McGovern, Dristernan on the death of his sister Mrs. Maura Beirne. The Funeral took place to Ballinamore Cemetery on Sunday last. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam. CHILDHOOD DAYS SAYS THANKS Childhood Days held a successful fundraising day during the Summer School when they opened a Continental style Café at the front of Laird House. The amount raised was €1,000 and we wish to thank everybody associated with this unique and successful occasion which was helped by the glorious summer weather and the large number of visitors to our town. A special thanks to the volunteers who looked after the needs of customers during the day ,to those who donated a wide variety of food and confectionary and to the general public who made the day by their generous support. To coincide with the anniversary, the business has re-branded and re-located to a new shop unit at Barrack Square, Drumshanbo, straight across the road from the Garda Station.
