DSU and Mundt Foundation Archivist DSU and the Karl E. Mundt Library is looking for an innovative, enthusiastic, service-oriented individual to provide leadership, vision, and oversight of the Karl E. Mundt Archives and Foundation, University Archives, and special collections. The successful applicant must be comfortable taking on a leadership role and working independently in the management of the Archives. Main Responsibilities General office management including bookkeeping, setting up and organizing annual meetings, taking minutes, scheduling meetings, taking reservations for Foundation use, helping researchers, archiving DSU materials, maintaining archives, ordering archival supplies, management of the Mundt Associate project, updating Mundt Foundation brochures, updating and refreshing display cases, helping with genealogy requests, giving Mundt tours and digitizing archive materials. Qualifications Required · Competency in using standard office software and equipment. · An ability to operate in an environment where priorities can change constantly. Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders. · Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. · Ability to work independently and to establish project priorities and manage projects. · An understanding of archives, or records management. Preferred Qualifications · At least a two-year college degree; however, a baccalaureate degree is given higher preference. Experience or knowledge of archival processes AND digitization processes. · Experience creating standard archival finding aids and working with archival materials. · Experience using Adobe software and CONTENTdm. · Experience with archival image capture projects in a production environment: image capture; file processing and metadata collection; quality control.
