Dad and I are watching Gilligans Island and talking about Little League baseball memories. He took over our team, which had won zero games the year before and turned us around the second year. Our original coach quit and gave up on us. We were nicknamed the Bad News Bears. One of my worst memories was getting beat 42-7 and the game was called off after just three innings. Well, Dad believed in us and started teaching us the fundamentals of baseball. He said, You guys are going to be good!! We are going to shock some teams. Lets be our best. Lets practice like we are perfect!! He had all kinds of fun and odd drills we would do each practice and they worked. Dad was the best coach and our team showed remarkable improvement under his command. In the last game of the year -- we beat the first place Yankess!! His face glows with pride when we start talking about this accomplishment!! #loveit
