Dad and I stopped at a geological site in Utah yesterday...it ended up being a large sign talking about lake Bonneville. It was massive (14,500 years ago) expanding into part of Idaho and Nevada. It reached depths of 1,000 feet. However, what we saw was nothing. We looked and looked, no lake, not even a puddle. Haha. The sign went on to say that due to environmental changes it drained and shrunk. The sign from the highway gave us false expectations that wed actually see something beyond the informational sign. Well, the trek to Portland , Oregon continues. :)
