Dad was picking up Jiajia and HK at the FuJian Hui Guang. Then it started to rain. Finally. The rain we all have been praying for. But the parking lots were limited there and the place was crowded with other cars coming in to pick up kids from their weekend classes. Mom alighted and went to pick up the duo while dad drove around the building. There were many cars parked by the road, making the one-way road so narrow it could only accommodate one car at a time. When dad came to the last turn, the road became dangerously narrow because of a car which was parked illegally. It was very difficult to maneuver the turn but there was no other way out of it but to go ahead. Dad attempted the turn in the rain in our hulking SUV, moving forth and back, but soon he found himself stranded, only an inch from the cars parked at the sides. One false move would end up scratching one of the cars. A tensed moment. Right at this critical time, an Ang Moh suddenly appeared from no where and gave dad his very much guidance. The AngMo was standing in the rain and signaling dad to move closer to the left. Eventually dad escaped the tight spot unscathed. We truly appreciate the gentlemans rescue effort and we just want to say a big thank you to him. When we drove off, we took a picture of our hero. So if you happen to see his VW on the road, please give him a big smile for us.
