Singaporeans are fed up with these kind of double standards, awarding scholarships to foreign students but denying a place to our aspiring students whose parents had to fork out huge sums from their own pockets. Paying ministers/senior civil servants millions but giving cheapskate handouts to the poor. Bending over to allow companies to hire FTs to work here but telling jobless PMETs to learn a new skill like driving taxis or become hawkers. But then all these years, the MIWs had been getting away of it, right?
