Daily Blog 16032014 The Racing News The race today proved a little too much for Micks GP14 sandy bottom who was the first to capsize this season, to be fair the safety boat crew loved the challenge and excitement of dragging the boat in, nothing like practice. Anyway everyone was fine. Billy came down to sell Solar panels as normal but the sun never came out, but it was great to see Billy around the place being our oldest member. Ken Southall fresh out of hospital was down to cover the starting hut with Richard Whitehead who set a really challenging course for the fleet today. Well done guys The soup of the day was Potato and Leek prepared by Sam and was souperb. The yard is now looking like it could do with a spring clean, so since we are not racing next week that might be a day to pencil in for a working party. I have also been able to get a Laser Champion to do a couple of Laser work shops for next weekend, so whether your a junior or senior sailor and would like to expand your knowledge of Lasers, please let me know if your interested so we can set something up for low water coaching and rig setting. Thanks to everyone who turned out for todays sail, not always easy conditions, and respect to Big Phil in his wayfarer for completing the course on just his main, bet he sleep well tonight.
