Daily Challenge 9/11: PASSAGE OF THE DAY: Mark 1:40-42 ____________________________________________ Scripture: Mark 1:40-42 40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” 41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. _____________________________________________ Reflection: - What does this passage convey about myself? - What does this passage convey about God? - Why is it significant? - How can knowing it affect my life? ____________________________________________ Final Thought: There is so much power shown just through these three verses, that I it is almost as if I do not have to elaborate...As I was reading this passage, I am reminded that Jesus Christ does not have to be elaborated on. In this passage alone, we can see the ultimate authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is God -- Just as the Lord spoke into the Universe and it was created -- Jesus spoke to the leprosy and IMMEDIATELY it left!...Immediately it left!...Thats the power of the Lord we serve... We should be reminded that the living and active Word of God, and the ever faithful God we serve, can well go beyond standing up for His name...Though He loves us for standing for His Name, His Name will still remain uncompromised, His throne will still reign, and He will still live sovereign in the end. In the End Gods authority will be shone and God will be glorified!
