Daily Devotional- ‘In His Footstep’ By Kingdom Support Initiatives (KSi) ksi.n.nu initiativekingdom@gmail January 26th, 2015 Get the Order Right ‘And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he and her house, did eat many days’ – 1 Kings 17:15 Life is about order and priority; and getting order and priority aright in life is important to life. Once a man gets priority right, his life is in shape; he focuses on the right and important things and looks away from the irrelevances. Same is important in our walk with God. God’s provisions and miracles in our lives aim at making us to become God focused although many people act contrary to this. Many idolize that miracle and even make that job, wife, child, relationship among others to replace their fellowship with God. In today’s reading, the widow of Zarephath understood that God’s provision for her was first for God, (so feeding the Prophet of God was not difficult) before her family or herself. Here is the point: any miracle or breakthrough you have is first unto God, it must bring glory to him and its enjoyment must never be to the detriment of your priority. Let it be dedicated unto God because it is God that released that miracle unto you (John 3:27); only Him can sustain and multiply it. Be wise for blessed is that man who always fear the Lord (Proverbs 28:14) Self-Reflection: Honour the Lord with your life! In what areas have I given others things taking my priority than God? What are those things that I place ahead of God? Prayer: Father thank you for your miraculous acts in my life. Please forgive me wherever I have given more attention to your miracles in my life than You. Help me to always set you before me. Amen Action Point: Examine your life in the light of this word and embrace change where necessary.
