Daily Devotional Are you alive to God? This is a decision to offer your life to God, abide in His Words and to let the Holy Spirit fill you. Also, do you believe that the Holy Spirit helps you put to death any sin? Romans 6:11 says, Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Think of this: You can have righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit right now. You can be free from the things that hold you back from walking closely with God. Every day can be the best day of your life with God. If you want to be alive to God and dead to sin, then make that decision. When God sees that you are willing to follow Him, then the Holy Spirit will help you overcome any sin. (Romans 8:13) It is helpful to memorize Romans 6:11. You can quote it if you are tempted and then walk away from any sin, with Gods power. Here is good news: As a Christian you have dominion over sin. Why? The Holy Spirit is in you. Every day receive deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ in your morning prayer time and you will walk in victory.
