Daily Fountain Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 Bible Passage: Psalm:37:23-27 Topic: Righteousness: The Secret of Good Living Today’s passage tells us of the advantages of living a righteous life before the Lord. A major benefit is that God will establish the steps of such a person (Prov.16:9,20:24), direct and guide him. God will take delight and pleasure in the righteous person. He will look upon him with favour. Furthermore, God will not allow him to be consumed by evil. Even if he falls, suffers misfortunes or loss, as long as he remains a righteous man, God will not forsake him out freely provide for him and his family. The children of the righteous man shall be blessed. These constitute the good life which is ordered by God alone. Do you desire this kind of life? This way of life comes only to the righteous. If you desire it, then depart from evil and do well. This is a promise of God to you. People who live in sin- immorality, corruption, unforgiveness, jealously, hatred, bitterness, anger, malice etc… shall not benefit from the blessings of the righteous or have the privilege of living the good life unless they repent. Are you clothed in righteousness? Do not go out without this covering, key, secret! Jesus alone gives it and you can receive it now if only you ask of Him!
