Daily Grace Devotional DGD Day 31 Topic: Grace in the Wilderness (Part 3) Text: Jeremiah 31:2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. The sword is not a vessel for home decoration. I am almost sure that you would not hang a sword at the entrance of your house to welcome visitors. Sword destroys. It used to be the most offensive weapon of war in ages past. In the midst of the swords destruction, the remnant that is left of the sword have a promise to find grace. Has the sword taken a loved one from you, or left you without help? Are you bruised from the cuts of the sword yourself? Do you feel reduced to nothing because of the past? Good news! When the sword is done, His word still heals. The sword has done its work. Stop crying over spilled milk. Brace up and move forward. The promise remains today, like they of old claimed it, for Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness.
