Daily Horror Overdose #31!!! Its time! Its time! Time for the big giveaway. Halloween has come. All you lucky kids with Silver Shamrock masks, gather round your TV set, put on your masks and watch. All witches, all skeletons, all Jack-O-Lanterns, gather round and watch. Watch the magic pumpkin. Watch... Do yourselves a favor, and watch Halloween III: Season of the Witch tonight. This is the one that does NOT feature Michael Myers, but does not deserve all the slack and crap that is tossed around about it. People were angry with John Carpenter for taking out the masked icon in wearing an inside out Captain Kirk mask. Carpenters original concept was to put out a Halloween themed film every year. The character of Myers was not supposed to thrive the way he has, and I actually wish we fan boys and girls let Carpenter get his way back then. The series would not be as convoluted and maybe, just maybe Rob Zombies version would not have ever come along. Just think, how fun would it be to actually have a creepfest Halloween film that focuses on the season, as opposed to one man in a masks antics every year? Or at least something similar. Anyway, the 31st Overdose goes to one of my favorite covers of the Halloween theme by MX-80. I really love what they did with it. Its punk rock with horns that does not sound like the X-ray Specs, which to me is a very good thing! To everyone whose put up with my Overdose Adventure for the past 31 days, thank you.
