Daily Wisdom Nuggets – March 20, 2014DISOBEDIENCEKing Saul was God’s elect. In 1 Samuel 15:1, Samuel told him, “The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel.” However, on a particular occasion, God sent him to destroy the Amalekites until they are all consumed, but King Saul spared the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them. This was an act of disobedience and as a result, Saul was rejected as king. Obedience, they say is better than sacrifice and to heed instructions is better than the fat of rams. Only a pilot who is on a suicide mission would decide not to heed the instruction of the control tower. As believers, we have commandments to obey, but some of us consciously disobey such commands. For every deliberate disobedience of God’s commandments, there is a reward for it. Mal 3:10 says when you pay your tithe, the windows of heaven would be opened unto you, and the devourer would be rebuked for your sake, but when you don’t, I am sure we know the opposite is the case. Someone said that things are never tight for tithers, but tight eaters beg to eat. If you eat your tithe, why don’t you repent from today? Come to think of it, since you have been eating the entire 100%, your name is still not on Forbes list.Rom 5:19 says, “For as by one mans disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Some homes are suffering because of the disobedience of one member of the family. Jonah was the one that disobeyed, but he almost used his own disobedience to destroy the lives of the innocent people on that ship to Tarshish. In what way have you erred God’s commands? I urge you today, go back to God and straighten things out.Remember that situations would never obey the man that disobeys God. Selah!
