Daily Word Devotional Friday, March 21, 2014 GRATEFUL With a grateful heart, I turn to God in prayer. I take time each morning and, again, at night to thank God for my many blessings. This powerful prayer practice helps me maintain an open and grateful heart. As I focus on my blessings, my heart is infused with the light, life, and love of God. Every area of my life is enhanced. I am relaxed, renewed, and uplifted. I am filled with faith, expectation, and hope. In the morning, gratitude sets my perspective for the day ahead. In the evening, a prayer of thanksgiving carries me into a restful sleep. When I awaken the next day, I am refreshed, ready for what’s next, alert and receptive to more blessings to come! I am grateful to God—whom I worship with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did—when I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day.—2 Timothy 1:3
