#DaisyUpdate #Voice4theVoiceless Daisys hearing was continued until December 22, 2014 at 1PM, pending the results of the DNA test. The Judge DID recognize, yesterday, that there are three interested parties in the ownership of the beagle dog that we call Daisy. Those 3 parties are Stafford SPCA, Stafford County Animal Control and The Spindle family. It was ordered that Daisy stay at Stafford County Animal Control until the next hearing, despite our offer to place her back into her foster home where she was well cared for and loved and - additionally - ...to do so at our expense rather than the expense of the Commonwealth. We offered that the foster home be available to inspection with reasonable notice and, our attorney, Jason Pelt, noted that, not only would this save the tax payers money, it would also save the life of any dog that came into Animal Control that may be euthanized due to space issues. Unfortunately, Daisy will not return to her foster home. In, what we HOPE, is an unrelated coincidence, our SPCA workstations, on our HOME network were hacked. We turned over our personal and work computers and storage devices to a private company for forensic analysis. At the time the breach was discovered, the intruder had remote access of one particular workstation and the only files that were open and being viewed were related to Daisy. According to the forensic report, the intruder(s) had access to our system for about 18 hours between Monday, December 8th and Tuesday, December 9th.
