Dalai Lama reflects a valid universal truth: The very purpose - TopicsExpress

Dalai Lama reflects a valid universal truth: The very purpose of religion is to control yourself, not to criticize others. Rather, we must criticize ourselves. We as a faithful nation do believe this, and our founders understood this: John Adams profoundly stated: Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. -J.Adams When we denigrate all that gives us self control, especially faith, then we will generally act without self control. We will then cede that power to others so they will control us, supposedly for the good of society As we chose to be ruled coercively. However, When we cede authority to God, there is no necessity for Government intervention in our lives. Yet, when we have Government power intersecting our lives when we do follow Our Faiths teachings, then this is an authoritarian and doctrinaire Government, that most fundamentally and certainly is Coercive. Its restrictive and coercive nature will most assuredly defeat the very essence of our Human spirit. For that reason it can not be tolerated. And must be rejected. Those legislators enforcing that authoritarian regime must therefore be overturned and replaced who understand the nature of man, and mans spirit.
