Damage Control - We are finally moved! To make a long story short as I can we suddenly and unexpectedly moved because our landlord was a scumbag. For 5 years we paid top dollar to live and work out of a place where the roof leaked, the hot water heater leaked (5 minute showers), it was being devoured by termites and carpenter ants, the 800 foot uphill driveway was a constant disaster with trees falling and with snow removal it was costing us a small fortune to keep the place from falling in on itself. The landlord paid $0 in maintenance the entire 5+ years of our lease leaving us to soak up 1000s of dollars per year in maintenance repairing their property. After paying $57,000+ for rent and another $36,000+ in electric bills heating the un-insulated place we came to the conclusion it was time for them to deal with their own responsibilities. We sent them a certified letter informing them of some repairs that needed immediately addressed and they sent us a letter back informing us that our lease was month to month and they would be terminating our lease October 31. So, unprepared and not even sure where we were moving to one week ago, we pulled it off and moved a family of 5 and a business! I am working myself to exhaustion to get production back up and running, so we will be back to making stink bug traps in just a few days.
