Damn, slacking off. Missed Day 5. Made it from S. Lake Tahoe - Napa, Ca. (With a quick detour up the west side of the lake to Emerald Bay.) only 270 Kms but a lot of winding around the lake and a 2+ hour traffic jam took us almost 5 1/2 hours. Found a Safeway and had supper in the room, TGIF sliders and potato skins. I know how to show a girl a good time huh? Day 6. Toured Napa for a while, wine country is beautiful. Took an awesome ride up over the mountain to Sonoma, would be a blast on a bike. Narrow, twisty and huge elevation changes in less than 20 miles on a road called the Oakville Grade. Stop off in Sonoma, one stop for wine tasting then off to Fort Bragg. Another winding twisting up and down road, worse than the Oakville. Like a huge 20 mile roller coaster. Made it to the water. The Pacific ocean is incredible. Ran the Coast Highway until it led us East on a third, long and winding road (sounds like a Beatles song). back to the interior. Found a tree big enough to drive thru. Pics to follow. Long day and still only made less than 500 kms. Final landing tonite in Fortuna Ca. Nite nite.
