Dang, sitting on the porch with Layla and -Layla asks momma, wheres my daddy? -I simply reply, at work baby (total lie, he doesn have a job and I have not a clue as to where he is or what hes doing!) -Layla says, I miss my daddy! Is he tomin (coming) to det (get) me? -I say not tonight baby, hes working, maybe next weekend. -She then throws her head down and lowers her shoulders and pouts and says okayyyyy See this was a first, she doesnt talk about him much and rarely asks if he is coming to get her. My heart is in my gut. Now Im thinking what a scum bag!!! I mean we have the most beautiful daughter and not to mention she is highly intelligent for her age and just such a blessing to have! How could any man, in his case, boy, not want to be a part of her life?! How can he, after 3 years now, not have accepted this beautiful baby girl as his MAIN priority?!? Yes, I have mad plenty of mistakes and yes, I have not always been the best momma but damnit I have completely turned my life around and I LIVE for my daughter!! I strive everyday to better our lifes and do whats right so that she has a great mommy to look up to and learn from. Im still far from perfect but Im a good momma and she is home with me everyday and every night! I have been out only a hand full of times since October but Layla was left with her family, not friends or a sitter, anyways my point is how can Deandre Devon Bass live with his self KNOWING he has NOTHING to do with his ONLY daughter, his FIRST born?! Since I have been back home, around thanksgiving, Deandre has not called me one time, not one time! Not to take Layla with him, keep her for the weekend, over night or anything, he has not even called to simply check on her to see how she is. To see how schools going, to see if shes having a good day or bad day, to even call and tell Layla he loves her!! Absolutely nothing. Mind you, Deandre has an open door when it comes to his daughter, he is free to come get her for how ever long he wants to, we have 3 cell phones he(he knows all 3numbers) and also a house phone (he knows that number as well!) I do not keep Layla from him at all, none what so ever!! This conversation was the first I have had with her but unfortunately I have a feeling its the first of MANY to come! Its so incredibly sad, first to flat out lie to her but then to wonder how she feels. Whats going on in her little mind! This broke my heart, I just wanted to vent. Not looking for comments or likes. Im just heartbroken over this all.
