Daniel Andrews brought the CFMEU back into the Labor Party, takes - TopicsExpress

Daniel Andrews brought the CFMEU back into the Labor Party, takes their money and factional support, and has repeatedly refused to cut ties with the CFMEU even after the damning evidence given to the Trade Unions Royal Commission and the finding of criminal contempt by the Victorian Supreme Court. Daniel Andrews has also hand-picked a paid-up CFMEU member for his front bench, Brian Tee, to be in charge of signing off on major construction projects, and changes to building regulations should Labor win the upcoming election. Last time that Labor and their CFMEU mates were in charge, the upfront cost of the Wonthaggi desalination plant blew out from $2 billion to $5.7 billion. There were also CFMEU turf wars with other unions on major Labor government projects including the Westgate Bridge Uupgrade, the Melbourne Wholesale Markets, and Regional Rail Link. The violence of the Westgate Bridge union turf war threatened public safety. Labor have declared that if elected they will abolish the Victorian Construction Code and the Compliance Unit, established by the Coalition to clean up the construction industry, once again giving free rein to thuggery and intimidation on Victorian building sites and adding millions of taxpayer dollars to the cost of projects. This means that far less money will be available to pay for health, education, public transport and other needs of the community. Victorians are still paying for Labor’s legacy of waste, cost blowouts and CFMEU rorts. We cant afford to have another Labor government subject to the dictates of the militant CFMEU or a Planning Minister who is a card-carrying CFMEU member.
