O. Rajagopal, that too, b’coz they were Malayalees ! = Since last 2 decades all the Union Railway Ministers had vested interests and ill motives. They did not care about Kerala State. One former Minister even shifted her Office to her State ! = How we can tolerate all these stupid actions containing partiality ? = Now, while coming to points, the following genuine requirements are submitted to Indian Railway for next budget. = The first and foremost genuine urgent requirement is “Peninsular Railway Zone” with HQ in Kochi, Kerala. Then only things will work properly. SR Chennai Officials are also totally discriminating Kerala due to blind local political pressure. = Nilambur – Nanjangode BG new line so as to connect Kerala with Mysore and Bangalore (Bangaluru) in short distance. = In the first phase of Sabari Rail itself, Chottanikkara may be linked either from Vazhakkulam or Karimkunnam to Piravom Road Railway Station via- Koothattukulam, Piravom Town, proceeding to Chottanikkara via exsisting Mulanthuruthy Railway Station. = By this, Piravom Road will be a Junction., where Capital City of Kerala is proposed in the surplus land of HPC / HNL. Double Lines are already here in Ernakulam – Kottayam Railway route (Central Kerala). = So that a ring railway is made available in Ernakulam and Idukki Districts of Central Kerala, with high density of floating population. This is economically viable in low cost, resulting great financial gain to Indian Railways, for sure. = Crores of Sabarimala Pilgrims will get quick and easy access to Ettumanoor, Vaikom & Chottanikkara Temples by rail. Now they are suffering a lot by availing road traffic. = New Railway Station at Nedumbassery is top urgent. = Present Chottanikkara Railway Station may be up-graded. Available additional access road to be developed by State Govt. = A new Railway Station at Vyttila near Mobility Hub, instead of Ponnurunni Railway Siding with cable car access to Hub. = Doubling and electrification works in the remaining reaches may be accelerated and completed all over Kerala, considering larger public interests and maximum utility. = Quilon (Kollam) – Shencottah, Palghat / Palakkad – Pollachi BG line to be completed and commissioned very soon. = Tellicherry (Thalassery) – Mysore Railway new line to be taken up. = Shertalai (Cherthala) Wagon Factory & Palghat (Palakkad Coach Factory) delay is very much regretted. = A Triangular Railway Station between Ernakulam Jn. (South) & Ernakaulam Town (North) instead of the present 2 stations above mentioned. = Revenue generating Passenger Rope way / Cable Car service may be provided by the Railway between Ernakulam Jn. (South) and Ernakulam Town (North) with a stopover at Ernakulam KSRTC Bus Stand. This can be extended to Vyttila also in future. (Budget proposal to be sent) Any comments ? Like · · Share
