Daniel Sturridge admits hes relishing life as part of the Premier Leagues most lethal double act ahead of Sundays showdown with Manchester United. “Luis works tirelessly, he said. I think we combine very well. Hes someone who wants to win, and I want to win. We both enjoy scoring goals and both like to assist each other. “I think weve both got three assists for each other, so we look for each other and we give each other opportunities and we work as a unit. I enjoy playing with him. “Luis is very demanding but then so am I. Its important that everyones demanding if you want to be successful and everyones pushing each other to get the best out of each other. “I don’t think we really realise what we are achieving as a team. We’re just going out, playing with smiles on our faces. That’s the most important thing I think.” Sturridge and Suarez are set to go head to head when England face Uruguay in the World Cup in June. “It will be great to play against him because he’s a world-class player and a great friend of mine,” Sturridge added. “One of us could be going out very unhappy but maybe we’ll both go through and Italy will go out. “I’m going to have a lot of banter with him when the season’s finished. I’m going to steal all his boots and his shinpads!” Sturridge was one of five Liverpool players named in the England side for last weeks friendly with Demark. His respect for his captain for both club and country, Steven Gerrard, is so great that he refers to him as James Bond. “He doesn’t like it, but I call him that because he can do everything,” Sturridge said. “On a day to day basis in training, you have to see it to believe what he can do with a football.
