Darby Road steps clean up. The alley way was blighted with graffiti, litter and a broken fence. East Folkestone Together and Shepway Community Safety Unit paid for a new fence, clean up day and mural. Guildhall North Residents Association and the Bradstone Association were involved in the project and their members voted on the mural’s design. Brian Matthews, Chairman of Guildhall North Residents’ Association said: Since the new fence has gone in and the litter has been cleaned up, we have seen a huge improvement in the area, the mural makes people smile and stops graffiti and people damaging the wall. We are really happy with how our neighbourhood feels now, the council also sorted out the damaged street lights and there are plans for a community wildlife garden with help from Network Rail and the Community Engagement team at the council’ Check out the before and after photos!!
