Darkness exists. Darkness is always present. We know darkness because of light. Where there is no light, there is darkness. Darkness cannot be more or less than what it is. To increase darkness we must decrease light for darkness is the absence of light. Only the intensity of the light can be changed. Peace exists. We are at peace. We know peace because of strife. Fear, anger, hate, these are traits of strife. Peace cannot be more or less than what it is. To be more at peace we do not increase peace, we decrease strife for peace is the absence of strife. The opposite of love is loneliness. We are alone. We know loneliness because of love. Where there is no love, loneliness exists. We do not decrease loneliness, we increase love. When we are loved, we are not lonely. This is why we can be alone and not feel lonely; because we are loved. This is why we can feel alone in a crowd; because people exist but love does not. The opposite of one emotion is not another emotion but the absence of that emotion. The absence itself has a name. So I believe.
