Darleen and I had a productive and insightful day here in Bogota with my counterpart, Adm. Hernando Wills, Chief of the Colombian Navy, and his wife Ana Margarita. I last saw my friend Adm. Wills at ISS in September, and this was a great opportunity to continue our discussion on issues of mutual interest to our navies. Started the day by meeting with our Colombian Ambassador and his staff and then traveled to the Colombian military headquarters where I was greeted by Adm. Wills. We sat down for a series of informative meetings, including one with Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzon. This was a great start to our visit and I look forward to seeing more of the Colombian Navy tomorrow.
