Especially where authorities are concerned. Sometimes people put in power arent put there because they are fair, rational or decent, but rather because they are willing to make others suffer if they dont toe the line. This means we put people in control who most likely have been hurt as a child and are looking to hurt others in order to make themselves feel better. When you get a lot of angry hurt people in charge, a LOT of nasty, cruel, unfair things can go down.
