Darling Barley (Darley) Update The barley was (home) malted into Pale Malt and some Crystal Malt - the latter has a very pleasant nose, a bit toffee-like in character. The Brewmaster at Brewhogs, Apiwe Nxusani, has kindly agreed to run a 10 litre test brew with the malt, using the Brickfields Lager recipe, to test the malts conversion rate ... we will then be able to compare the test-beer produced with the actual commercial brew.
