Darood upon Muhammad or support to Muhammd PBUH. Darood:- This is a Persian(FARCY) word which means to explode or to uproot. I think uproot is more realistic because it has really uprooted the Muslim Umma as the present situation is before us. .The Quranic verse from which this DAROOD is derived is better to be discussed :- Sura Ahzaab ayat 33/56:- إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمً These laws are framed to make the model society for the humanity. As has been said in the Quran ,by virtue of obeying these laws you will receive all the help from the Divine System and the heavenly forces~33/43) This very help and support is also available to the central authority of your system, the Nabi. However ,this does not mean that you need not do anything because Allah the Almighty and His heavenly forces are out to help and support him. No! it is of prime importance that you became a continuous source of strength for him and his mission; by providing your support and taking his mission to its accomplishment. There is only one way to achieve this; and that is to show, from the core of your heart complete obedience to him(4/65, فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمً 7/157 الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ الرَّسُولَ النَّبِيَّ الْأُمِّيَّ الَّذِي يَجِدُونَهُ مَكْتُوبًا عِندَهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنجِيلِ يَأْمُرُهُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَاهُمْ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَبَائِثَ وَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ إِصْرَهُمْ وَالْأَغْلَالَ الَّتِي كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِهِ وَعَزَّرُوهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ وَاتَّبَعُوا النُّورَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ مَعَهُ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ , 33/43 هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا Discussion:- The conventional word DAROOD is not something we have to send / convey to the messenger rather it is the SUPPORT ,Support with commitment which the people of that time had offered to Him.
