Darrell Player & I marbelited the swimming pool and did the PVC plumbing on the pool. The owner made lunch for us and we ate in the shade on a hot day. They had a Master Boatman who did the upkeep on the teak wood of their Yacht and kept it in running condition at all times. The owners like many of our clients never bothers us and liked our work when we were done. Darrell Player started in the swimming Pool business with a baby elephant for a bob cat and built most of the swimming pools in the Hotels from Miami Beach to Ft. Lauderdale. He had a son who was worthless and Darrell treated me like I was his son. I was making $500.00 a week out of high school in 1976 and had a tan to die for. I grabbed hot rebar all day thats been sitting in the sun and cleaned grout burns on my hands & feet with muriatic acid. digging swimming pools, the only breeze you got was wind blowing sand in your face as you slapped mud on the walls
