Darren rarely left his house until after Wacky Races. He then started watching pre-game for college foorball and had ALL stats on teams and even players, memories. ALSO, you could ask him ANY Super Bowl and he could tell you which teams played, who won, the score and a few trivial facts on each game. It was wild and wacky the memory Darren had. He even memorized word for word the entire Ferris Bueler movie and sang the two songs Ferris sang on the parade float at a middle school dance. From the time he was a little, bitty boy, I remember Gene Beasley telling my dad about how intelligent Darren was. Gene said, when Darren would spend the night at their home, he would be up earlier than even Gene, and would be deep into morning news. Darren had an incredible memory and incredible personality. Always good for lifting me and those around him, up. Greg.
