Data Analyst Position Superfly is looking for an analyst to lead our partnerships with the hedge fund industry. Our new analyst will combine Superflys proprietary data sets with financial information to generate trading signals and predict quarterly/annual results of public companies. Our ideal candidate has a financial and quantitative background to the degree that he/she can effectively understand SEC filings, read technical charts of stock prices and explain the fundamentals of derivatives pricing. Candidates will also be very comfortable in a technological environment, with a strong grasp of (at least one of ) Python,C/C++, Matlab/Octave, R or Fortran. Proficiency with SQL is a great bonus but can be learnt quickly. Most importantly our ideal candidate learns very fast and gets things done on time and correctly. We believe that if you can do that everything else can be learnt. About us: Superfly has a propietary live textual dataset from which we extract structured data. We answer questions about demographic trends in various markets, such as predicting the leading in-app purchases in the Android domain or recognizing which demographics have recently switched from GetTaxi to Uber.
