Database Kernel Developer Job (New York, NY, USA): Job Requisition Number:40757 The Role: You will be working as a Database Kernel Senior Software Engineer and will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the cutting-edge database kernel for our real-time, high-volume, low-latency, time-series and key/value database. This database is the core of the Bloombergs market data infrastructure, storing market data from around the world and driving the majority of downstream Bloomberg applications. We work closely with multiple businesses and application groups to design and develop our systems to satisfy ever-growing customer demands. You will be part of a small team that is leading the design and development of our database kernel. In this role you will participate in the design and implementation of various components and systems such as replication, fault-tolerance, recovery, and request/response, which are required to be highly efficient, robust, and scalable.
