Date 27th January, 2014 771 Persons Apprehended during Surprise Ticket Checking Drive at Ghatkesar Railway Station The Secunderabad Division of SC Railway carried out surprise bus raid checks against ticketless travel and un-booked luggage at Ghatkesar railway station today i.e. 27th January, 2014 and apprehended 771 persons. An amount of Rs. 2.56 lakh was realized from them towards penalty. The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Shri B. Singaiah, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (O), Shri Ravi P. Padi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Assistant Commercial Manager, SCR. A total of 26 Express trains and 7 Passenger Trains were thoroughly checked at Ghatkesar station by involving 108 Ticket Checking Squad staff and 23 Railway Protection Force personnel. Out of the 771 persons apprehended, 452 persons were found traveling without ticket and 161 persons were found traveling irregularly and 158 cases of unbooked luggage.
