Date set for Hema Malinis younger daughter Ahanas D-Day - The Times of India on Mobile We were the first to tell you about Dharmendra and Hema Malinis younger daughter Ahanas engagement to Delhi businessman Vaibhav Vora (October 22). Now, TOI has it that the star daughter will tie the nuptial knot on February 2, 2014. A few other dates had been shortlisted for the wedding after Ahana and Vaibhav exchanged rings but the final decision was taken last week. The 28-year-old Ahana dated the entrepreneur for a few months before the engagement and with four months to the big day, preparations are in full swing. Hema and her elder daughter Esha have already started shopping for Ahanas wedding trousseau. The preparations have begun. We are going to be very busy for the next four months, Hema told this newspaper yesterday. Though Ahanas trousseau is being sourced from designers in Mumbai and her mothers chosen spots in South India, the two families are yet to decide on the rituals. We have yet to take a call about whether it will be a Punjabi wedding or a South Indian one, said Hema. The wedding will be in held in Mumbai, followed by a grand reception. There will be a function in Delhi as well, added Hema. Ahana and Vaibhav met at Eshas wedding in June last year and hit it off almost instantly. There was no family resistance from either side as the couple soon became very serious about each other. While the engagement held at the familys Juhu bungalow was a private affair, the golden couples contemporaries, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Rekha, Vinod Khanna, Vyjayanti Mala and Manoj Kumar, who attended Eshas wedding, are expected to be there at Ahanas too. Trained in the Odissi dance form, Ahana had toyed with the idea of entering showbiz as an actor or director but finally chose to continue as a dancer and has done many stage shows in India and abroad with her mother and sister. When asked whether Ahana will continue dancing after her shaadi, an emotional Hema replied, Yes, she will. She will move to Delhi after the wedding but I will get to spend time with her during our shows. And of course, she can visit Mumbai as and when she wants.
