Daughter, son-in-law of the owner of Aarti Steels killed in boat capsize in Thailand. With inputs from Express News Service, Ludhiana The son-in-law and daughter of city-based industrialist Rajiv Mittal, who owns Aarti Steels Limited, died in Thailand on Sunday. The couple — Yash Aggarwal, 27, and Pankhuri Mittal, 26 — got married last year and were on a trip to Thailand when their boat capsized and both of them drowned. Family members, including Rajiv Mittal, left for Thailand to bring back the bodies. The boat capsized in Krabi province of the country known for its beaches. Surprisingly, the duo were not wearing life jackets when the incident happened. The couple had gone to Thailand to celebrate Pankhuri’s birthday on October 5. Cremation will be held in Hyderabad, where the couple lived. Deepak Charitable Hospital in Ludhiana is run by the family and is named after Deepak Mittal, uncle of Pankhuri Mittal, who died in a tragic road accident 40 years ago. According to reports, the Thailand police booked the boat driver who did not convince the couple to wear life jackets.
