Davao City, Philippines, Friday, August 1, 5:45 AM The months since our departure from here have passed, slowly at first and then more quickly until at last, the days wound down and Juli and I flew away from our stateside family and friends to arrive back in the arms of our loved ones here and all the work that awaits. To say were glad to be home is likely an understatement and some who wonder about our home and where it is and among what people we find ourselves most at east, it here. As the cliché goes, Home is where the heart is.---it is very true with us because our hearts are here. And it is not that we love our family or our homeland less. We just know that Father in heaven has placed us here so here, we find contentment. And for Juli and me, this is a new beginning, as the work is set to evolve into what the Good Lord has prepared for this time. Looking back there are such great joys and much accomplishment...and peace. Looking forward, we can only imagine where it will take us and who will come along side us to help. Thank you for your prayers as we made the long voyage back to our mission home and for continued prayer in days to come. I will keep up the daily posts as much as possible and with photographs to help you see what I am seeing! God bless you all. I am praying for you! I will post again...
