Davao News Photo: NO PROBLEM WITH KARLO NOGRALES, SAYS RODY DUTERTE(Source:Mindanao Insider)RRD2016 Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said December 14 that there should be no surprise about his photograph with Congressman Karlo Nograles that went viral online. In his Sunday show Gikan Sa Masa Para Sa Masa, Duterte also pointed out that Nograles is a relative, explaining that the congressmans mother, Rhodora Bendigo-Nograles, is related to the Dutertes. The Mayor said the Bendigos and the Dutertes trace their roots in Danao, Cebu. The original viral photo from the Facebook page of Berna Romulo Puyat showed Mayor Duterte with Congressman Nograles and wife Marga. Reportedly taken at Conchings Native Chicken restaurant in Davao City, the December 10 photo generated much interest because of the known political differences in the past betweeen the Mayor and former Speaker Prospero Nograles, the Congressmans father.
