Dave Kaptain - Mayor of Elgin, Illinois is joining Chef Quincy Owens between noon – 2pm, giving a cooking demonstration during the FREE children’s program at the Downtown Elgin Harvest Market. Grilling meat and trying some tasty vegetables are on the docket for all to experience. Other groups participating in the children’s program this week will be the CORE Project, Gail Borden Public Library, Kim’s Black Belt Academy, and Side Street Studio Arts. The market has over 20+ vendors to shop for local produce and products, health screenings and community information from local businesses and not for profits, and RC Juggle will be present to do make balloon art from 11am – 1pm.
