Dave is a lucky lucky boy! When he came to us originally in the summer he had been shot in his leg. While we dont know how it happened we do know that he was scheduled to be put down as a result of his injuries. We stepped up and agreed to take him and help him mend and get healthy as he was emaciated. It was a long process for him and recovery was stressful. When we asked if someone could host this sweet boy Sumati J. and her daugher Satya agreed that their home would be a good spot for him. When he arrived he was at least 20lbs underweight and in need of some real TLC. From the moment he arrived he charmed everyone who met him! He is a real deal coon hound and as he got better he showed more and more of his personality. Soon he blossomed and started packing on the weight and filling out. He flourished in the care of his foster family and formed a really special bond with his youngest host. He also learned how to be a dog, how to relax and know he was loved and to not worry about being a free spirit. It was amazing to see the transformation. As you can see the difference from arrival to adoption. Along the way he took a piece of everyones heart. Dave was the underdog who deserved the very best! As luck would have it he got just that! While many were interested in adopting, his family knew from the moment they saw him that he was the one for them! Now residing in NJ Dave enjoys a great life with a huge yard to run, kids to play with and a good natured lab to call his best pal, our boy is loving life! A huge thank you to everyone who donated to his care and helped us find his happily ever after! A special thank you to Sumati and Satya for always being willing to take a leap of faith!
