Daveta Team Selection - Fijis Coral Coast 7s Release by Mark LOste-Brown, Operations Manager. The Daveta team for the 2014 Fiji Coral Coast 7s is: Forwards Levani Kurimudu Apisai Domolailai Samu Cava Apisai Moimoi Asivorosi Vuki Mesulame Backs Emosi Mulevoro Eroni Vasiteri- captain Save Rawaca Jona Tuitoga Leveni Tani Taraiyasi Hara Some additions to the team with Emosi Mulevoro coming in for Jerry Tuwai who has been rested. Jona Tuitoga also comes into the squad after an impressive outing with the Borneo Eagles Rugby Club at the SCC 7s. Jona is keen to show he is still capable of representing at the national level. Emosi Vucago has been omitted from the team due to a significant breach of our code of conduct. Emosi failed to attend the tournament camp and was unable to be contacted by team officials. Although having committed to Daveta for the Spring Tour, which includes the Coral Coast 7s, Emosi has instead decided to represent another team during the tournament. Whilst we are extremely disappointed in Emosis decision to represent another team in the tournament, we are more concerned at the lack of consultation with the club in this matter which has caused some distractions so close to such a large tournament . This lack of professional attitude runs contrary to Davetas standards which is why he has been omitted from the team. Other omissions include Eremasi Radrodro who has elected to take up a contract to play in Sri Lanka. Again this is a huge loss not only to Daveta but to the national side where he was selected as a squad member this year. To Eremasis credit he did discuss his decision with team officials this weekand goes to Sri Lanka with our blessings and best wishes. As a further blow Villiame Mata has been ruled out on medical grounds. Whilst this has not been the best lead up to such an important event, we remain confident in the playing group that we have to be a force during the tournament.
