David Beckham: I want Brad Pitt or Bradley Cooper to play me David Beckham has revealed that he would choose Brad Pitt to play him in a movie. When asked by talkSPORTs Colin Murray which actor he would like to portray him in a film based on his life, Beckham quipped that Brad Pitt would be the obvious choice. Him or Leonardo DiCaprio, or maybe Bradley Cooper, he added. Theyre not bad looking guys! Beckham also spoke about his retirement from professional football, saying: Im coping pretty well. I had lots of things set up for when I called it a day. I was very lucky I finished my career on such a high. My career was pretty successful over the last 20 years and to be able to finish my career at PSG with a trophy, and then walk away from football, was very special. Its never easy retiring and its not easy to walk away from something that you love but there were a lot of things I had ready to go the minute I stopped playing, that was important. Ive got a big family, four kids to chase around, that keeps you busy enough. Ive not really had the chance to sit down and miss the playing side. Beckham will star in The Class of 92, a documentary film about the Manchester United youth team that included Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Gary Neville and Phil Neville. On the film and his former teammates, he said: Weve all kept in contact. I was obviously the only one who moved away from Manchester United so the other lads saw each other, day in, and day out. I left United and went to Spain and America but I always kept in close contact with them. I have always had a special and close relationship with them, thats been built up over many years, and were all very proud of that. David Beckham will give his first post-retirement UK television interview to Jonathan Ross on ITV next month. The Class of 92 will debut in selected cinemas from Sunday, December 1 and will be available on DVD from Monday, December 2 from Universal Pictures.
