David Campbell was on the road to Ipswich on Wednesday and from his own admission he did not know where he was going, what he did know is he had a smart sprinter with him with newest stable star ONE WITH BLING. Campbell elected to make the trip over the border to find a suitable Class 3 event for the gelding which had already won three from four this preparation. Campbell gave himself an extra edge when he elected to take a 3kg claim with apprentice Kasie Stanley when you add this to the set weight conditions of the race ONE WITH BLING was beautifully placed. In the race Stanley produced a copy book ride racing outside the leader at an even tempo kicking on the turn and putting the issue beyond doubt below the 200m. The trick for Campbell now is what to do with ONE WITH BLING as with four wins he is now entrenched in the benchmark system. Due to Campbells astute placement all his wins have come in restricted races and he will enter the BM at a relatively high level. Going on recent results the trainer will no doubt search far and wide for a suitable race.
