David Magneto Allain For those new to winter riding, heres a quick tip to staying warm and protecting the bike: Thermal t-shirt and 3 long sleeve thin layers over it, plus a hoody...cotton trousers UNDER tracky bottoms (under is important, dont want tracky bottoms against skin in an off) and woolly/bulky neck warmer, leathers over the top. Will feel a bit tight at first, but youll get used to it. May need to pull layers about a bit to get comfy. Also, buy a few cans of ACF50 (acf50 is to wd40 what Hulk is to david banner)...coat bike liberally (minus brakes) with about 1/3 to 1/2 a can and leave to dry (dont wipe)...itll burn off the zorsts and engine in the morning making it a lil smoky, but will leave behind a good protective film all over the bike. No worries about salt/corrosion...just let the bike get dirty, wash and repeat once a month. Sorted. Been doing this for years and although my bikes are dirty, there aint much corrosion.
