David Mullineaux Obit...In Memory of David Yesterday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter Brother David , age 59, died at Lower Cape Fear Hospice on Saturday June 7, 2014. David was born in Taipei, Taiwan May 27, 1955 David owned and operated “D.B. Graphics and Signs” for over 25 years. Due to early on-set Alzheimer and severe psoriatic arthritis he was forced to retire 10 years ago. Within the last year 1/2 he has also been battling stage 4 lung cancer as well. I moved to South Florida in 1981 to go to college at a ripe young age of 18. I moved in with my big brother while attending Design School. He took me under his wing and took such good care of me! We had such fun together in South Florida as well as when I moved back up here to Wilmington over 20 years ago. David loved life and lived it to the fullest. David was always the life of the party and was well loved everywhere he went. David always loved music! David actually played the drums in a few different bands over the years starting at 16 years of age. David also had a passion for the ocean, the beach and boating. His love of boats and the ocean led him into a profession that allowed him to do the most amazing lettering work on some of the finest yachts and boats made . His unique craft and talent made him a highly sought after artist by many local and South Florida marinas over many years. David was one of the most loving, kind, giving, caring souls I have ever had the pleasure to have in my life. It has been such an honor and true blessing to have had him as my big brother. I wouldn’t be near the person I am today without all the positive influences he has made in my life! He has truly affected each person in my family and many friends on so many profound levels with the “Pure Light & Love of His Soul” that there are no words that can truly capture the beauty of his essence. David you are and will be terribly missed every day of my life. :-( I will try to rejoice in your release from all the pain you were in, knowing that you are now in a much better place in GODS hands and surrounded by Angels. I know my tears are selfish as I weep over my loss of you and all the fond memories we shared together that will live forever within my heart. To anyone who reads this who feels moved to do so….it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a few minutes to say a prayer for David. Please ask the Angels and God to wrap their loving wings and arms around my beloved brother David’s soul and continue to lift him into the loving light of God’s love! If anyone has any picture s of David or knows of anyone who may have some I’d like to know. I am preparing a Picture DVD for David’s Celebration of Life Memorial and would love to some pictures from his friend as well! In addition to his parents Marjorie & Brian of Wilmington, David is survived by a brother, Jay of Rocky Point, two daughters, Jennifer and Ashley, one son, Hunter, one grandson Brayton, a special aunt Ann Matthews and a special friend, Marsha Jones. A celebration of David’s life will be held at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation at 1535 S. 41st St in Wilmington N.C. on Wednesday eJune 18, between 6pm – 8pm. Please come and join with us in sharing your fond memories of David. For more information or sharing photos I can be reached at my home@ 256-2087 or my mother Marjorie can be reached at home@ 791-2793.
