David Ridgeway Just now · The Old Has Passed Away When all but forgotten, Gods living word hidden Neath years of forgetfulness and careless neglect Until on that fateful day, long years ago When Josiah decreed that it should not be so That men live their lives in the darkness and lies Of the doctrines of demons and all who despise The Giver of life, the Author of truth Let righteousness arise and let love be the proof That the ashes must surrender to the beauty of holiness That despair must now yield to the garment of praise And iniquity bows to those robed in His righteousness For the God of creation is exalted today And the heavens declare His glorious salvation In the light that He shares with His holy nation And the sweet Name of Jesus fills our hearts with His praise For in Him all things are made new And the old has passed away DCR
