David Sharps and I just found out we got a NY State Council on the Humanities Seed Grant to support our project -- a multi-media puppet show about the Lehigh Valley #79 Barge aka The Waterfront Museum. She turns 100 in 2014! We will portray the history of the Barge from when she and others like her moved goods from ship to railroad and vice versa before there were bridges, tunnels and shipping containers, to her present life as a museum and showboat. We are conducting interviews with those who lived and worked on the harbor, to bring the era of Lighterage to life. https://facebook/thewaterfrontmuseum
