David Temple Classical Guitar and myself are in the throws of an incredible artistic project. Rosary ONeill is the playwright of Degas in New Orleans which is published through Samuel French. The playwright has asked my husband to turn it into a musical and she has requested that I direct it. I wanted to give this gift to my students at Red Hook High School and they embraced it. We are well underway with rehearsals and the show will go up on December 18th and 19th at the Black Box Theatre at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College and then back to Red Hook High School on the 20th and 21st. Today my actors came to my home and recorded some of their songs as Rosary ONeill contacted me and said that she met with the former Consul General of America who wants to try and get the musical DEGAS IN NEW ORLEANS put on in France for the Centennial of the Death of Degas. She asks if we can send her electronically a couple of the songs. We did that and more and she LOVED them! Our RHHS actors and David Albert Temple are well on their way....to Paris. I will give it my all!
