Davis Broadcasting Gives Away Gifts to Thousands Columbus, GA – The Annual Davis Broadcasting Needy Children’s Christmas Party was held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 8 a.m.-12 noon at the Columbus Civic Center. Thousands turned out to enjoy light refreshments, toys, bikes, door prizes and gifts that make hundreds of children happy and put huge smiles on their faces during the Christmas holidays. Davis Broadcasting, Inc. of Columbus (DBI): WFXE Foxie 105, WKZJ K92.7, WEAM Praise 100.7, WOKS AM1340, WIOL-FM ESPN 95.7, and WIOL-AM CBS Sports Radio 1580 has been hosting the Needy Children’s Christmas Party for decades. Radio personalities from the DBI Radio Stations came out to the event as well as local politicians, community leaders, partnering organizations and volunteers. Davis Broadcasting hosts an Annual RadioThon to raise funds for the Needy Children’s Christmas Party. DBI always gives back to the community through their Annual Needy Childrens Christmas Party. Each year, with the donations raised during the annual 24hr Radiothon, they are able to provide over 1,000 toys and over 150 bikes to children in the community. They have been continuing this tradition for over 48 years. DBI was founded in 1986 by Gregory A. Davis, Chief Executive Officer, and continues to run the business with his wife, Cheryl Davis and his children. Over the years, acquisitions were made in both Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA. Currently Davis Broadcasting Inc. owns 10 radio stations located in Columbus, GA and Atlanta, GA.
